<summary>Introduction</summary>

The Tier List is a skill-evaluation-based, 1 vs. 1, kit-divided, ranking concept that is used within the **network**. We try to make our Tier List as regionally inclusive as possible, supporting EU, AS, OC, AF, NA, SA as regions.

Each game mode within the PvPTiers Network has its own Tier List, duels system within our Minecraft server and Discord community. The current game modes are:&#x20;

* <mark style="color:purple;">**Crystal**</mark>&#x20;
* <mark style="color:purple;">**Pot**</mark>&#x20;
* <mark style="color:purple;">**Netherite**</mark>&#x20;
* <mark style="color:purple;">**UHC**</mark>&#x20;
* <mark style="color:purple;">**SMP**</mark>&#x20;
* <mark style="color:purple;">**Mace**</mark>&#x20;
* <mark style="color:purple;">**Axe**</mark>&#x20;

Tiers are manually assigned ranks players receive after doing '**Tier Tests**' with '**Testers**'. These tests consist of an organized set of duels with a staff member who then uses these duels as a mode of evaluation to determine your **Tier**.&#x20;

Every Tier has a '**Low**' and '**High**' denomination. From best to worst the ranks you can receive are:

* <mark style="color:purple;">**High Tier 1 \[HT1]**</mark> <mark style="color:purple;"></mark>*<mark style="color:purple;">(On average, 0.02% of player base)</mark>*
* <mark style="color:purple;">**Low Tier 1 \[LT1]**</mark>  <mark style="color:purple;"></mark>*<mark style="color:purple;">(On average, 0.04% of player base)</mark>*
* <mark style="color:purple;">**High Tier 2 \[HT2]**</mark>  <mark style="color:purple;"></mark>*<mark style="color:purple;">(On average, 0.06% of player base)</mark>*
* <mark style="color:purple;">**Low Tier 2 \[LT2]**</mark> <mark style="color:purple;"></mark>*<mark style="color:purple;">(On average, 0.11% of player base)</mark>*
* <mark style="color:purple;">**High Tier 3 \[HT3]**</mark> <mark style="color:purple;"></mark>*<mark style="color:purple;">(On average, 0.75% of player base)</mark>*
* <mark style="color:purple;">**Low Tier 3 \[LT3]**</mark> <mark style="color:purple;"></mark>*<mark style="color:purple;">(On average, 23.43% of player base)</mark>*
* <mark style="color:purple;">**High Tier 4 \[HT4]**</mark> <mark style="color:purple;"></mark>*<mark style="color:purple;">(On average, 19.57% of player base)</mark>*
* <mark style="color:purple;">**Low Tier 4 \[LT4]**</mark> <mark style="color:purple;"></mark>*<mark style="color:purple;">(On average, 24.91% of player base)</mark>*
* <mark style="color:purple;">**High Tier 5 \[HT5]**</mark> <mark style="color:purple;"></mark>*<mark style="color:purple;">(On average, 20.02% of player base)</mark>*
* <mark style="color:purple;">**Low Tier 5 \[LT5]**</mark> <mark style="color:purple;"></mark>*<mark style="color:purple;">(On average, 11.09% of player base)</mark>*

After doing a Tier Test and receiving your result. You will be able to see your Tier on our [website](https://pvptiers.com/).&#x20;

The Tier List website has a database of every players rank, connected to their Minecraft UUID. This is continuously updated as new players receive ranks.&#x20;

You can also see a **live feed** on the website home page which shows the result of every test performed across the network on all game modes. \
\
Note, we only test players who are on an official Minecraft launcher and not on a **cracked** account.

<summary>High Tiers &#x26; Retirement</summary>

Tier testing for Tiers between LT5-HT3 adopts a relatively fixed format across all game modes. This format is called Evaluation Testing and operates using a systematic waiting list and scoring system.\
\
'High Tiers' denotes all ranks above HT3. Players trying to test for High Tiers undertake specialized tests against specific players with specific ranks within their region.

Additionally, due to the competitive nature of Tiers above HT3, players must demonstrate activity and repeatedly prove their ability to maintain such Tiers to keep them. If players cease activity, they may lose their rank or be considered **'Retired'**.

Retired players are given 'Retired Tiers'. These are visible on the website and contribute to your PvPTiers Total Score on our website, which will be further explained below.

<summary>Point System &#x26; Color System</summary>

Every Tier acquired in any given game mode will give you a certain number of points which will then automatically contribute to your rank in our [Overall](https://pvptiers.com/ranking/overall) category of our website. This is effectively a cumulative system to measure the Tiers you have attained across all the game modes. The point system works as follows:

**Point Distribution**

* <mark style="color:purple;">**Low T5 - 1 Point (High T5 - 2 Points)**</mark>
* <mark style="color:purple;">**Low T4 - 3 Points (High T4 - 4 Points)**</mark>
* <mark style="color:purple;">**Low T3 - 6 Points (High T3 - 10 Points)**</mark>
* <mark style="color:purple;">**Low T2 - 16 Points (High T2 - 28 Points)**</mark>
* <mark style="color:purple;">**Low T1 - 44 Points (High T1 - 60 Points)**</mark>

**Rank Progression**

* <mark style="color:purple;">**Rookie (1-9 pts.)**</mark>
* <mark style="color:purple;">**Combat Novice (10+ pts.)**</mark>
* <mark style="color:purple;">**Combat Cadet (20+ pts.)**</mark>
* <mark style="color:purple;">**Combat Specialist (50+ pts.)**</mark>
* <mark style="color:purple;">**Combat Ace (100+ pts.)**</mark>
* <mark style="color:purple;">**Combat Master (200+ pts)**</mark>

Your rank and points are based off of '**Peak Tiers'**. Peak Tiers denotes the highest Tier a player has in their user history. Thus, if a player achieves LT3, then tests again another time and achieves LT4, their Peak Tier is LT3.

Additionally, our website has a visual system to make it easier to understand the current Tiers a player has.

Each game mode is represented by an icon. Each color denotes a certain Tier (regardless whether a player is High or Low within that Tier).&#x20;

* **Gold&#x20;**<mark style="color:purple;">**-**</mark>**&#x20;Tier 1**
* **Silver&#x20;**<mark style="color:purple;">**-**</mark>**&#x20;Tier 2**
* **Bronze&#x20;**<mark style="color:purple;">**-**</mark>**&#x20;Tier 3**
* **Copper&#x20;**<mark style="color:purple;">**-**</mark>**&#x20;Tier 4**
* **Tin&#x20;**<mark style="color:purple;">**-**</mark>**&#x20;Tier 5**

The image below shows these colors being applied as outlines to the icons, with the text being white. This reflects that these Tiers are **Active Tiers**. If a Tier is shown on without an outline, but rather with **highlighted text**, this means that the Tier is considered a **Retired Tier**.

For instance, in the screenshot below, this player is High Tier 1 in Crystal, Low Tier 3 in Pot, Low Tier 3 in Netherite Pot, Low Tier 3 in SMP, High Tier 4 in Sword, Low Tier 4 in Elytra, Low Tier 4 in UHC, High Tier 5 in Axe and does not have a Tier in Mace.

In this screenshot, this player's ranking would be High Tier 3 in Pot, Low Tier 3 in Netherite Pot and Retired High Tier 1 in Sword.

A player cannot have a Retired and Active Tier for the same game mode at the same time.&#x20;
