# UHC Kit PvP

<details>

<summary>Introduction &#x26; History</summary>

Ultra Hard Core (UHC) has been a popular battle royale style game in Minecraft since the earliest multiplayer servers, even before the 1.9+ combat update. In order to sharpen their skills, players ideated the UHC kit which was derived from common inventories in late-game scenarios when playing UHC. \
\
Gradually, new communities formed, focused exclusively on the kit duels. UHC PvP is one of the only kits which forces players to use diverse and early-game Minecraft items, making it a very complex method of combat.

The earliest version of the UHC Tier List was added to the network in **Q3 2021**.

>
> **"HT"** means **"High Tier."** For example, "HT3" means High Tier 3.
>
> **"LT"** means **"Low Tier."** For example, "LT3" means Low Tier 3.

>
> **“High Tier Test”** refers to the type of tier test you must do if you are currently ranked High Tier 3 or better in the tier list
>
> **"Total Score"** refers to the total amount of wins/losses against an opponent. Example: Player loses 8-10 vs. one opponent, then wins 10-5 vs. another opponent, their overall score would be 18-15.

### **Evaluation Tier Test Information**

* The tester will not only base your tier off of match score, they will take into account your **overall performance.**
* The server regions we test on are North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. If you are not from these regions, pick the one that is closest to you.
* Make sure you are always readily available when you are in the queue. If it is your turn and you are unresponsive, **you will be skipped** and you will have to wait through the queue once again.
* Asian and Australian testing is merged. If you are from either of these regions, you might have to fight on the opposite region.
* The best tier you can receive from an Evaluation Tier Test is HT3.

### **Evaluation/Low Tier Test Process**

* If you are UNRANKED or LT3 or below, you must first request a test in the **request test channel** in the UHC Discord server.
* Then, you will be entered into a waitlist where you can join a queue once a tester has become active.
* Once you have passed the queue, a tester will talk to you in your ticket and will do a FT6 to determine your Tier.
* **If you do not win any rounds** against your tester, they are able to end your test after **4 rounds**.
* After fighting, you will be given a tier based on the tester's assessment of your skill within those fights.

### **Evaluation -> HT3 Test**

* If you beat your LT3 tester **6-3 or better**, you will be assigned a HT3 opponent to fight in a FT10 in which you must win at least 8 to immediately pass.
* If you lose this fight with a score of 7-10, you will be assigned a second HT3 opponent.
* To pass the test at this stage, you must get 8 rounds against the second HT3 opponent.
* **If you win at least 4 rounds against a HT3 tester in an evaluation test**, notify a Regulator+ staff member.
* You and your HT3 eval tester will then continue the test from the previous score to a FT10.

### **High Tier Test Information**

* You must already be HT3 to test for LT2.
* **High Tier Tests are a FT10.** Your overall score will be taken into account if there are multiple opponents in the Tier you are testing for.
* When doing High Tier Tests, you must fight the lower tiers first. For instance if a LT2 player tests for HT2, they will first fight their LT2 opponents before fighting their HT2 opponents.
* In a High Tier Test, if your opponent dodges longer than **5 days**, it can result in punishment. This includes receiving dodging warns (varies per tier) and being fully forfeited from the fight.
* If your opponent dodges, you will be assigned another fight. It will not count as a 10-0 win for you.
* **Forfeits cannot be done in LT2+ Tests.** (An exception can be made if an Admin+ sees fit)
* If a player has sufficient proof of them lagging out during a test, they are allowed to re-fight that round as long as the fight was around even. **The lag must be very clear and recorded.** Having your friends vouch that you lagged out is not enough. (Will be granted at an admin's discretion)

### HT3 -> LT2

1. First, you must fight two High Tier 3 opponents.
2. If you have a passing score, you will be assigned two LT2 opponents.
3. Minimum score against HT3s: 10-6
4. Minimum score against LT2s: 7-10, total passing score must be within a margin of 3

### LT2 -> HT2

1. First, you will be assigned two LT2 opponents.
2. If you have a passing score, you will be assigned two HT2 opponents.
3. Minimum score against LT2s: 10-6
4. Minimum score against HT2s: 7-10, total passing score must be within a margin of 3

### HT2 -> LT1

1. First, you will be assigned two LT2 opponents.
2. If you have a passing score, you will be assigned to fight two HT2 opponents.
3. If you have a passing score against the HT2s, you will be assigned to fight two LT1 opponents.
4. Minimum score against LT2s: 10-5
5. Minimum score against HT2s: 10-6
6. Minimum score against LT1s: 7-10, total passing score must be within a margin of 3

### LT1 -> HT1

1. First, you will be assigned two LT2 opponents.
2. If you have a passing score, you will be assigned to fight two HT2 opponents.
3. If you have a passing score against the HT2s, you will be assigned to fight two LT1 opponents.
4. After beating the LT1s, you will fight all HT1 players.
5. Minimum score against LT2s: 10-5
6. Minimum score against HT2s: 10-5
7. Minimum score against LT1s: 10-6
8. Minimum score against HT1s: 7-10, total passing score must be within a margin of 3

### **Opponent Assignment**

**When being assigned the opponents you have to fight for your test, your opponents will be chosen with the following priority:**

* An opponent who is from your region. (You will fight these players on a server in your region)
* An opponent from another region when there is a server where you both get equal ping.
* **Both your pings must be below 200ms.** An example of this would be an Asian player fighting an NA player on EU, where they might both get 160ms.
* The opponent with the most warns. (Only for LT2+) **If there is no server where both opponents get equal ping:**
* Cross region takes priority - **both players must be below 160ms off-region.**
* Players may also achieve equal ping by ping spoofing in this scenario.
* Admins will offer assistance to do so if needed. This should only be done as a last resort.

### **Cross-Region Fights**

* When doing a High Tier Test, you might have to do cross-region fights against people from another region. In a cross-region fight, you will fight your opponent on the closest region to yourself (FT10), and you will also fight them on the closest region to them (FT10).
* If you cannot decide which region to do first, do a coinflip.
* In order to pass your cross region fight, **must get at least one round on your opponent's region.** Getting 0 rounds is an auto-fail.
* Ideally, the person fighting on the opposite region gets to decide the server. For example, if you are an NA player cross-region fighting an EU player, you will get to pick the EU server and they will get to pick the NA server as long as both choices are reasonable. Exceptions will apply to a player who intentionally chooses a server where they know the opponent is very laggy.
* **The cross region score requirements can be found below:**
* HT3 vs. LT2 cross reg - margin of 3 to pass as a HT3, margin of 4 to fail someone as a LT2
  * (HT3 needs to go 11-14 to continue, LT2 needs to win 15-11 to fail the HT3)
* LT2 vs. HT2 cross reg - margin of 2 to pass as a LT2, margin of 3 to fail someone as a HT2
  * (LT2 needs to go 11-13 to continue, HT2 needs to win 14-11 to fail the LT2)
* HT2 vs. LT1 cross reg - margin of 2 to pass as a HT2, margin of 3 to fail someone as a LT1
  * (HT2 needs to go 11-13 to continue, LT1 needs to win 14-11 to fail the HT2)
* LT1 vs. HT1 cross reg - margin of 1 to pass as a LT1, margin of 2 to fail someone as a HT1
  * (LT1 needs to go 11-12 to continue, HT1 needs to win 13-11 to fail the LT1)

### **Choosing Servers**

**If there is a disagreement about server selection, refer to the following criteria to see which servers take priority over others:**

* The server that offers the smallest ping gap between players
* A server on 1.20.4 or below
* The server both players are most experienced on **Contact a Regulator+ if there is still a disagreement.**

### **Cooldown**

* **There is no cooldown on successful tests.** If you successfully pass your test but do not achieve a bridge-testing score of 10-6 or better, you are still able to immediately test with no cooldown, but you must start from the very beginning, as your previous fights will not carry over.
* **Failing a test will result in a 30 day cooldown.** If you are doing an Evaluation Tier Test and you achieve your desired rank (below HT3), you will still receive 30 days of cooldown unless you win.
* Getting demoted from your tier will result in a **10-day cooldown** (does not include demotions from LT3 & below evals).
* Staff may decide to give you less cooldown if there's an unfair aspect of the test that was unaddressed until after the fact.

### **Demotions**

* Demotions occur when a player has repeatedly performed at a lower level than required for their current tier.
* **Demotions are typically only by one rank unless the player meets the criteria to be demoted multiple ranks.** For example, if a HT2 loses 0-10 to three different LT2 players in a row, they will be demoted to HT3

#### **Players may be demoted for the following:**

* Dodging without valid excuses (**dodging 2+ fights is an instant demotion**).
* **Rigging/Boosting/Alting** to obtain their tier legitimately.
* Losing by a significant margin to a lower-tier player.
* Losing against lower-tier players who did not pass their tests.
* Players are **safe** from demotions/warns in HT3+ testing as long as they pass their first eval fight (Beating your first HT3 10-6 or better when testing for LT2 prevents you from getting warned if you lose 7-10 or worse to the second HT3 eval tester).
* **This safeguard only applies to fights against players in your current tier** (A HT2 who passes against their first LT2 eval tester in their LT1 test can still get warned if they lose to their second LT2 eval tester since it's a tier below them).

#### **LT2-HT2 Demotions:**

* 2 significant losses to players in the same tier.
* 1-2 significant losses to anyone below their tier.

#### **LT1-HT1 Demotions:**

* 1 significant loss to a player in the same tier.
* 1 loss to anyone below their tier that wasn't within a margin of 3.

### **Alternate Testing Scenarios**

* In the event that the required number of people in the tier you are testing for are not available to complete your test, **each of these players will be replaced by the better players in that tier.** The "better" players will be chosen by the tier list regulation/administration team based on factors such as their **regions**, previous test scores, and overall performance within the gamemode.
* Each LT2 must be replaced by 2 HT3s, while every tier above (HT2+) will simply be replaced by the best player in the tier below.
* When selecting opponents it's important to be mindful of which players might be prospects of a higher tier in order to prevent tests from being gatekept from said player(s).
* **Example 1 (No Opponents):** I am a HT3 testing for LT2. However, there is only one available LT2 to fight on the Tier List. My test requires me to fight two LT2s meaning I will multiply one by two and instead fight 2 HT3s to replace the missing LT2 player. These HT3s will be assigned by the staff of the tier list, who will try to pick the better players within the tier.
* **Example 2 (No Opponents in HT2+):** I am a LT2 testing for HT2, but there are no HT2s on the Tier List. Since my test requires me to fight two HT2 opponents, I must fight four LT2s (the two initial LT2 evals of the HT2 test equate to a HT2 fight). In order to mitigate gatekeeping, I will be given a true-score requirement (such as 40-24) rather than having to beat each player 10-6.
* **Example 3 (No Opponents in LT1):** I am a HT2 player testing for LT1, but there are no LT1s on the Tier List. Since my test requires me to fight two LT1 opponents, I must win at least 4 rounds against two of the current HT1 players with a true-score of 10-20 to pass my test. (5-10 requirement if there's only 1 HT1).
* **Example 4 (Too Few Opponents):** I am a LT2 testing for HT2. My test requires me to fight one LT2 and two HT2s. There are enough LT2s, but there is only one HT2. I need to fight the two LT2s for eval and also the one available HT2. To compensate for the missing HT2 player, the staff team will select the strongest LT2 player I get natural equal ping with (can be on or off region) to replace the HT2.

### **Miscellaneous Information**

* **Cracked players are unable to test**, as they will not be able to link any account for the website/waitlist.
* Witnessing someone who uses suspicious or blatant illegal mods or hacks should be reported with evidence to a regulator or tier list admin. If you neglect to do so, **you could be punished for withholding evidence** depending on the severity.
* If you agree to fight someone on a certain server for a test, the scores are final. You can not go back on it and blame the server for your loss.
* If you beat your first of two HT3 testers 10-4 or better in your LT2 test and then go 10-7 with your second one, you will still be granted a pass (applies to LT2-LT1 as well).
