# Crystal PvP

<details>

<summary>Introduction &#x26; History</summary>

Crystal PvP originated when people started using the explosive damage of **End Crystals** in Minecraft Survival as a way to fight other players. It is an attempted aggregation of the type of combat you would experience in competitive Vanilla survival and its various metas all of which have been orientated around the use of end crystals as a primary weapon.

The earliest version of the Crystal PvP Tier List was added to the network in **Q2 2020**. It has since undergone many rubric changes and kit changes.

Crystal PvP will never be fully congruent with Vanilla PvP. It is not feasible to make Vanilla Minecraft combat have a fixed kit or format in duels; however, updates to the Vanilla game are a good indicator of how Crystal PvP may evolve and are often used as a guideline of how to adapt kit guidelines.

Crystal PvP is the only kit in the verified game modes that has a flexible customizable kit within certain parameters and limits, as opposed to a fixed inventory.&#x20;

## General testing information

1. Conjoined regions will possibly have you fight players on the opposite region.
   * Conjoined regions: NA/SA, EU/ME, ME/AS, AS/AU.
   * The regions we offer are NA, EU and AS/AU. If you are not from these regions, pick the one that is closest to you.
2. With administrator approval players are allowed to ping spoof for an equal MS fight. If you do not get approval you could be punished.
3. Any test closure will result in a 30 day cool-down
4. Not allowed to forfeit at 0-0. If attempted the fight will not count. Forfeiting at a score of 2-2 or worse will result in a player being reassigned unless directly stated by Administration.
5. Administrators may initiate a re-test if there is a possibility that you are not the proper rank.
   * Spectation help is not allowed unless both players in a test agree.
   * The /regear command is allowed in both LT3 (evaluation) testing, as well as HT3+ Testing.

## Server selection

1. If players cannot decide on a server:
   * It will be up to administration.
   * if it's an equal ping fight and there's a disagreement with no second choice for an equal ms server, players will be required to play on an equal ms server.

## Opponent Order

When being assigned the opponents you have to fight for your test, your opponents will be chosen off of this priority order:

1. An opponent who is from your region.
   * You will fight these players on a server from your own region.
2. An opponent from another region when there is a server where you both get equal ping.
   * Both your pings must be equal to or below 150ms.

## Low Tier Test Information

* The tester won't only base your tier off of the score, they will take into account how well you played. If they lose, they must give you the rank they are.
* Make sure you are always at your computer when you are in the queue. If it is your turn and you do not respond within 5 minutes, you will be skipped and you will have to join the queue and wait through it all over again.
* The maximum tier you can receive from a Low Tier Test is LT3.
* HT3 tests will require a LT3 opponent pre-HT3 fight (Eval testing).

## Low Tier Test Process

1. If you are LT3 or below, you must first test through our discord.
2. Then, you will be entered into a waitlist where you can join a queue once a tester is testing.
3. Once you have passed the queue, a tester will talk to you in your ticket and will do a FT3 to gauge your tier.
4. Then, you will be given a tier between LT5 and LT3 based on the tester's assessment of your skill.

#### LT3 -> HT3

1. You will be assigned an evaluation test with a LT3 tester to see if you should be able to HT3 test.
   * Minimum score against LT3 3-2 (Overall win)
2. You will then be assigned a HT3
   * Minimum score against HT3 4-3 (Overall win)

## Bridge Testing

If you successfully pass your test with a win against an opponent with a higher tier (scores below), you can immediately test for the next tier without having to fight them again. You have to immediately ask, once your test is closed you no longer have the opportunity to bridge test.

#### Tier related scores for bridge test:

* LT3 -> HT3 -> (4-2 against HT3s) -> LT2 Bridge Test
  * In order to bridge, you must beat your first HT3 by a minimum of 4-3, and the second HT3 by a minimum of 4-2 to counteract the 4-3 score. This continues forward for LT2 and HT2 testing.
* HT3 -> LT2 (4-2 against LT2s) -> HT2 Bridge Test
* LT2 -> HT2 (4-2 against HT2s) -> LT1 Bridge Test
* HT2 -> LT1 (4-3 against LT1s) -> HT1 Bridge Test

## High Tier Test Information

You must already be HT3 to test for LT2.

* All High Tier Tests are FT4.
* When doing a High Tier Test, you must fight the lower tiers first. For instance, if a player is LT2 testing for HT2, they will fight their LT2 opponents before fighting their HT2 opponents.
* In a High Tier Test, dodging is a case-by-case situation handled by Administration.
* If a player FULLY lags out in a fight, they are allowed to re-fight that round. The lag out must be very clear and recorded. Having your friends or individuals in any amount vouch that you lagged out is not enough, ask for them to clip it. If fights are continuously stopped due to lag, administrators will handle the situation.
* Administration has the right to issue redoes on rounds, fights, or disqualify tierlist fights upon proper video evidence inspection.

#### HT3 -> LT2

**First, you will be assigned two HT3 opponents. The HT3s will be chosen based off of whichever ones are most available to fight.**

* Minimum score against 1st HT3: 4-3 If you lose by a score of 2-4 or worse against your first assigned HT3, then you must fight a second HT3. If you do not win against this HT3, you will be demoted to LT3.
* Minimum score against 2nd HT3: 4-3

**Then, you will be assigned two LT2 opponents.**

* Minimum score against LT2s: 3-4 First one and 4-3 Second

**Then, you will be assigned the two HT2s opponents. If not enough HT2s are present they will be replaced with LT2s.**

* Minimum score against HT2s: 4-3

**Then, you will be required to fight two LT1s. If not enough LT1s are present they will be replaced with HT2s.**

* Minimum score against LT1s: 3-4 First one and 4-3 Second

#### LT1 -> HT1

**First, you will be assigned the two LT2s opponents.**

* Minimum score against LT2s: 4-3

**Then, you will be assigned the two HT2s opponents. If not enough HT2s are present they will be replaced with LT2s.**

* Minimum score against HT2s: 4-3

**Then, you will be required to fight two LT1s. If not enough LT1s are present they will be replaced with HT2s.**

* Minimum score against LT1s: 3-4 First one and 4-3 Second
